The 1970 comedy "The Owl and the Pussycat" starring Barbra Streisand and George Segal, screens at the Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport on Tuesday, June 18, at 1:00 and 6:00 pm. Originally a Broadway play, this is classic urban comedy at its best. Streisand as the prostitute and Segal as the stuffy author bring down the house with witty bantering and sweet loving. Streisand won a Golden Globe award for best actress, and screen writer Buck Henry was recognized for his work by the Writers Guild of America.
