Description

Cassini-Huygens has been described by NASA's Planetary Science Division Director as a "mission of firsts", that has revolutionized human understanding of the Saturn system, including its moons and rings, and our understanding of where life might be found in the Solar System. After 13 years of exciting exploration and stunning photographs, Cassini plunged to Saturn's surface on September 15, end a space odyssey of grandiose proportions. Our speaker, Dr. David Velasquez, will review the highlights of this stunning NASA mission. For updates, see the Friends of Taylor Facebook page: www.facebook.com/friendsoftaylorobservatory/
