The 1973 sci-fi thriller “Soylent Green,” starring Charlton Heston, screens at the Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport on Tuesday, April 26, at 1:00 and 6:00 pm.
Based on the novel by Harry Harrison, the film won a Nebula Award for “Best Science Fiction Film” and marks the final screen appearance of Edward G. Robinson. It predicts a chilling future for the human race where over-population has pushed the limits of food production capacity resulting in desperation at all levels.
