The 1968 western, “Once Upon a Time in the West” starring Henry Fonda, Claudia Cardinale, Jason Robards and Charles Bronson, screens at the Soper Reese Theatre on Tuesday, March 27, at 1:00 and 6:00 pm. Entry to the film is by donation. A landmark Sergio Leone masterpiece featuring a classic Morricone score, “Once Upon a Time in the West” involves a complex plot about killers, land rights, railroads, long-delayed revenge, mistaken identity, love triangles, double-crosses and shoot-outs. Gunslingers, one-road towns, horses and buggies are all spread across a backdrop of the imposing Monument Valley. Considered by many to be the best western ever made.
