Come to the LCHS annual picnic as it resumes on Sunday May 21 in the grove at Ely Stage Stop. Enjoy hamburgers and hotdogs, free for Members, $5 for the general public, which can be applied toward membership. Everyone is asked to bring a favorite dish to share. There will be music to go with your purchases of beer, wine and water. The Lake County Historical Society will be celebrating the completion of the extensive restoration of the Lakeport-made Ferron freight wagon, rolling once again, and set to be a permanent feature in the Blacksmith's shop. There will be a talk presented by Paul Marchaund of Highland Springs Equestrian Center, who contributed generously to funding the restoration so completely and expertly completed by Bill Melton of Porterville. We hope to see you there!
