Come see what spring is bringing to Anderson Marsh State Historic Park

Anderson Marsh State Historic Park continues to hold monthly guided nature walks.  The next walk is scheduled for Saturday morning, April 9th. Bring binoculars, sturdy shoes, water and sun protection.   Meet in front of the Ranch House at 8:15am for time to experience the early morning wildlife to be found in the Ranch House and Barn complex yard.

State Parks Docent Tom McFarling will lead the guided walk.  Tom, who regularly hikes in the Park, also leads hikes for the Lake County Sierra Club, BLM and is a Docent for Lake County Parks where he leads hikes on Mt. Konocti.

Many of the trees are beginning to leaf and flower.
The recent rains will have encouraged wildflowers and the birds and bees are becoming active.

The April 9th walk is planned to include parts of the Ridge, Marsh and Cache Creek trails.
It should last about 2 hours.

There will be NO tour of the historic Ranch House afterwards.
There is no charge and parking is free for those attending this event.

Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Hwy 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake.  For more information about the walks, email info@andersonmarsh.org or call (707) 995-2658.
