Anderson Marsh State Historic Park continues to hold monthly guided nature walks. The next walk is scheduled for Saturday morning, July 9th at 8:30am. Come join us! Bring binoculars, sturdy shoes, water and sun protection. Meet in front of the Ranch House at 8:15am for time to experience the early morning wildlife to be found in the Ranch House and Barn complex yard. Park Docents Gae Henry and Henry Bornstein will lead the walk over the Cache Creek Nature Trail, providing a view of the riparian habitat of Cache Creek. The walk provides an chance to ask questions about the Native American, European and Natural History that is found at the Park, and an opportunity to view the wildflowers, birds, dragonflies, butterflies and other wildlife that can be found in the Park this time of year. The leisurely walk should take 1½ - 2 hrs. A tour of the historic Anderson Ranch House tour will follow the walk. If rain cancels the walk the ranch tour will begin at 8:30am. There is no charge and parking is free for those attending this event. Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Hwy 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake.
