"Easy Rider" Classic Film

Description

Starring Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson, this iconic film throws a spotlight on the turmoil of 1960's America, from illegal drugs, the hippie culture, and the Vietnam War to the civil rights movement. Released in 1969, "Easy Rider" uses groundbreaking photographic techniques to chronicle the journey of two counter-culture bikers and a drop out lawyer as they bike across the U.S. from Los Angeles to New Orleans. The film screens at the Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport on Tuesday, May 24, at 1:00 and 6:00 pm.
