In Barbarajo Bloomquist’s novel Triptych, Clare, a young artist and student of Buddhism, flees from a dangerous situation in San Francisco to seek refuge in the rugged back country of Maine, shadowed by a mysterious incorporeal trio of figures, each with a lesson for her to learn if she is to prevail against fear. The public is invited to meet Bloomquist at two free book signings this month. On May 10 at 5:30 p.m. Bloomquist will appear at the Lakeport branch of Lake County Library located at 1425 N. High Street. On May 13 at 2:00 p.m. Bloomquist will appear at the Redbud Library, 14785 Burns Valley Road in Clearlake. Light refreshments will be served.
