Do you feel invincible when it comes to trivia knowledge? Do you have what it takes to defeat all challengers? Are you a trivia buff who would enjoy watching your friends, neighbors, and people from local businesses and organizations battle it out for the title of Trivia Champions? Well, you are in luck! The Lake County Symphony Association is hosting its First Annual Team Trivia Challenge Fundraiser at 7 p.m. on April 27 at the Soper-Reese Theatre in Lakeport. Sign up now to be a part of a four-member team competing for the title of 2024 Trivia Challenge Champions. Come join Quizmaster Mark Lipps from Ripe Choice Farm & Catering as he asks the tough questions and keeps the evening moving to the delight of all. The competition is limited to 20 teams and spots are expected to fill up fast. Each four-member team can consist of anyone– from co-workers to first-responder agencies, government offices, corporations/businesses, community-service and fraternal organizations, or groups of family or friends. The possibilities are endless. Each team will pay $200 to enter the contest and teams may ask sponsors to contribute to the entry fee. Sponsors will be acknowledged at the event. Being an audience member is sure to be a good time, as well. Play along with the teams competing on stage as moments of suspense and hilarity unfold in this family-friendly activity. There will be wine and hors d’oeuvres available to complete the experience. Seats closest to the stage are $20, while those further back are a bargain at $15. Onlookers will also have a chance to participate on stage by putting their names into a drawing from which four random and willing audience members will become the “wildcard” team and join the competition for free! The 2024 Team Trivia Challenge Champions will be invited back next year to defend their title at no charge! Set the date to come join the LCSA for an evening of fundraising and entertainment! Sign-ups for teams and audience tickets are available online, or at the door. First come, first serve! In addition to ticketing, more information and details are available on the Soper-Reese website (www.soperreesetheatre.com). The Lake County Symphony Association is a non-profit entity that supports the Lake County Symphony, the Lake County Chamber Orchestra, the Lake County Community & Youth Orchestra, and provides scholarships to local, college-bound youth.
